Membership Terms and Conditions
These terms and conditions govern membership of The Creative Writing Club, operated by Liam Marshall Communications Ltd (Company No. 15676044), trading as Liam Marshall Creative, registered in England and Wales ("the Operator"). By joining, you agree to the following terms.
1. Membership
1.1 Membership of The Creative Writing Club is open to individuals aged 18 and over.
1.2 Membership is available on a monthly basis at £17.50 per month, or an annual basis at £175 per year.
1.3 New members are entitled to a 7-day free trial before payment is taken. Payment will be taken automatically at the end of the trial period unless cancelled beforehand.
1.4 New members who join during the promotional launch period (October to December 2026) will begin with a 7-day free trial. Upon activation of their membership, this trial will be extended to 4 January 2027, which will become their first billing date. The standard 7-day free trial applies to all members joining on or after 4 January 2027.
1.5 Membership will renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle unless cancelled.
1.6 You may cancel your membership at any time. Cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing cycle, and you will retain access to membership benefits until that date.
1.7 Memberships are non-refundable once the free trial or promotional access period has ended. This does not affect your statutory rights.
2. Membership benefits
2.1 Active members are entitled to the following benefits:
Weekly writing prompts and journal notes
Access to the private WhatsApp community
Quarterly online writing sessions
Access to the growing prompt archive and member discounts
Community reading recommendations
Space to share work and receive feedback
Regular office hours with direct access to Liam Marshall for writing support
A quarterly creative gift through the post (UK mainland only)
2.2 Benefits are subject to change. Members will be given reasonable notice of any significant changes to the membership offering.
2.3 ‘Office hours’ are available to active members only and are scheduled at Liam Marshall's discretion. Dates and times will be communicated in advance via the WhatsApp community.
3. Quarterly gifts
3.1 Creative gifts are dispatched in March, June, September and December each year.
3.2 Quarterly gifts are available to mainland UK-based members only. Members outside of the UK are entitled to all other membership benefits.
3.3 For monthly membership holders, your first gift will be sent in the next quarterly dispatch following your third billing date.
3.4 It is the member's responsibility to ensure their postal address is accurate and up to date. Liam Marshall Creative accepts no responsibility for gifts that are undeliverable due to an incorrect or incomplete address.
3.5 Gifts that are lost or damaged in transit will be considered on a case-by-case basis but are not guaranteed to be replaced.
3.6 Members who cancel before qualifying for a gift will not be entitled to receive it.
3.7 Quarterly gifts do not apply during the promotional launch period (October to December 2026). Gift eligibility begins from a member's first billing date of 4 January 2027.
4. Community guidelines
4.1 The Creative Writing Club community is a supportive, inclusive space for writers of all levels and backgrounds. Members are expected to treat one another with respect at all times.
4.2 The following are not permitted within the community:
Harassment, bullying, or discriminatory language of any kind
Unsolicited critique of another member's work
Spam, self-promotion, or advertising without prior permission
Sharing another member's work or personal information outside the community without their explicit consent
Any content that is offensive, harmful, or illegal
4.3 Feedback on work shared within the community should be constructive, kind, and invited. Unsolicited critique is not in the spirit of this community.
4.4 Liam Marshall Creative reserves the right to remove any member from the community who breaches these guidelines, without refund.
5. Affiliate links
5.1 The members-only area of The Creative Writing Club platform contains affiliate links. This means Liam Marshall Creative may earn a commission if you make a purchase through one of these links, at no additional cost to you.
5.2 All sections containing affiliate links are clearly labelled. Affiliate links may also appear in the WhatsApp community from time to time and will be identified as such.
5.3 Recommendations made via affiliate links are made in good faith. Liam Marshall Creative only partners with brands and products considered relevant and of value to members.
6. Intellectual property
6.1 All content produced and shared by Liam Marshall Creative as part of the membership — including writing prompts, journal notes, and session materials — remains the intellectual property of Liam Marshall Creative and may not be reproduced or distributed without permission.
6.2 Any work shared by members within the community remains the intellectual property of the member who created it.
7. Data and privacy
7.1 By joining The Creative Writing Club, you consent to your name, email address, and postal address being held and used by Liam Marshall Creative for the purpose of administering your membership and dispatching quarterly gifts.
7.2 Your data will not be shared with third parties without your consent, except where required by law.

8. Limitation of liability
8.1 Liam Marshall Creative will make every reasonable effort to deliver membership benefits consistently and to a high standard. However, we reserve the right to reschedule or cancel sessions, office hours, or other live elements where necessary, and will communicate any changes to members in advance.
8.2 Liam Marshall Creative accepts no liability for any loss or disappointment arising from changes to the membership offering, provided reasonable notice is given.
9. Governing law
9.1 These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
