What is a Steering Session?
A one-off marketing and brand strategy session designed to give you space to:
Pressure test an idea you’ve been sitting on
Shape a message that’s been feeling... off
Check whether your next move actually makes sense
Work out how to turn your gut instinct into a plan
Think of it as structured thinking time, with someone who’s good at taming all of the ideas floating around your head (and knowing when to call time on the waffle).
You bring the ideas, the voice notes, the “I think I might be onto something” energy. I’ll bring the questions, perspective, and a knack for knowing which thread to follow and explore at greater length.

What to expect from your session?
We'll start the session by discussing where your head’s at and what you have in mind.
From there, no two sessions are the same. I don't sell cookie-cutter plans. Everything is about you and your business. So I'll work in a way that’s responsive to you and your needs, helping you to find the answers to those problems and steering you in the right direction.
I'm not here to give you the answers on a silver platter. I'm here to guide you to finding them yourself.
The answers that fit with you and how you and your business work. The answers that help you solve problems for your customers.
How do I do that?
Often, the easiest way to find answers is to talk about what we already know.
With your goal in mind, I'll ask you questions that will help build the picture and start the steer towards finding the answers and developing a plan.

90-Minute Virtual Steering Session
The idea’s in your head - you just need to speak it out loud and see where it lands.
This is for you if you’ve been staring at the same problem for too long, circling the same three options, or second-guessing the direction you’re going in.
We’ll get it all on the table and figure out where to focus next.
£150
2-hour in-person Steering Session
Same idea, different setting.
This option is perfect if you prefer to chat things out in real life.
We’ll meet somewhere that works for both of us and take the time to work through your ideas, priorities, or pressing issues.
You’ll still get that sense of clarity and next-step focus, just without the screen fatigue.

4-hour in-person Steering Session
This one’s for the big stuff.
A strategy you’ve been putting off. A rebrand you can’t get a grip on. A messy mix of ideas that need structure.
If it feels too heavy for a quick fix, let’s give it the space it deserves.
We'll pull it apart and put it back together in a way that actually makes sense for you and your audience.

In-person sessions are available within 50 miles of Liverpool. Additional travel costs apply beyond this range.
Sessions can be held at your premises, a coffee shop, or a co-working space (booking fees apply).

Yes (and no). To get the most out of your Steering Session, it helps to come in with something you're trying to figure out.
That might be a fuzzy idea, a messaging gap, or a campaign plan that’s just not clicking - whatever’s been playing on repeat in your head.
You don’t need to have it perfectly defined, but you do need to be ready to dig into something real.

Yes. Each Steering Session is designed to stand on its own and give you clarity in one sitting.
Some clients come back for more so they can work in smaller steps and take action as things evolve, but there's no expectation or upsell.

No - your session needs to be used in one go. That focused time is what allows us to get deeper into the work without losing momentum or flow.
If you reach a halfway point and decide you’re all set, you can end the session early. But I’d encourage you to think about how to utilise the remaining time while you have me in the room.

Who am I?
If we haven’t met before, I’m Liam - a brand content writer and copywriter with a background in creative writing, branding, and marketing.
I’ve been the journalist picking apart what makes a good story, the editor sharpening ideas until they land, and the person business owners turn to when they’ve got something worth saying but no clue how to say it.
Most of my clients come to me mid-thought, stuck between the scribbles in their notebooks and the version they wish they could articulate. That’s where I do my best work.
I listen between the lines. I hear the thing you didn’t quite say, the idea you almost dismissed, and help shape it into something that represents you at your best (while also helping you towards your goals).
I don’t hand you a list of checkboxes to work from. I help you get clear on what matters, push past the waffle, and build a plan that fits how you think and what you’re here to do.
