You’re in The Write Place
An online creative writing club for people who aren’t sure they’re writers… but want to give it a go anyway.
So, what is this?
The Write Place is a regular, one-hour online creative writing class that doesn’t ask for much. Just a notebook, a pen, or laptop (we’re not handwriting snobs), and the willingness to give it a try.
It’s a place for people who want to write but feel unsure, rusty, or downright terrified (there’s no need to be).
You’ve probably told yourself, “I’m not a writer” and that was an outright lie.
You don’t need a story idea. You don’t need a plot twist. You don’t even need to have a clue what you’re doing.
This isn’t a course. There’s no homework. No pressure to ever share what you’ve written with anyone else. Just fun prompts to get words flowing, encouragement from a like-minded community, and an hour to escape from what’s going on in the rest of your world.
And sometimes there may be dragons.

These sessions were a standout experience—Liam created a warm, community-focused environment that made me feel comfortable and confident in my writing again. His support and encouragement reignited a creative spark I hadn’t felt in a while.

Why creative writing?
Writing isn’t just for authors. It’s for overthinkers, deep feelers, curious minds, and anyone who needs to switch off from everything else for a while.
Creative writing can help you:
Unwind after a hectic day
Process thoughts and feelings without needing to explain them to anyone
Focus your mind on something simple and creative
Feel accomplished (yes, even from half a scribbled page)
We won’t pile on pressure or set any goals. This is purely focused on the act of writing something that didn’t exist before - big or small.
Who’s it for?
If any of these sound like you, you’re in the right place:
You’ve always wanted to try creative writing, but don’t know where to start
You’re looking for something that feels creative but low-pressure
You write sometimes, but mostly for work, and want to shake things up
You want to do something for your wellbeing that doesn’t involve meditating on a mountain
You’ve got words in your head that deserve a way out (even if they come out weird)
This is a space for beginners, returners, and anyone who wants to write more freely.
Why this? Why now?
Because writing doesn’t need to be polished or published to be powerful.
Because creativity is good for your head.
Because the hardest part is starting - and that’s exactly what this will help you do.
The Rules of The Write Place
Yes, there are rules - but they’re the good kind (promise).
Rule 1:
There are no wrong answers in The Write Place.
If you’ve written something, anything, you’ve already nailed it.
Rule 2:
Share as much or as little as you’re comfortable with.
Overshare, stay quiet, read your whole piece, or just say “I liked that one.” It’s all welcome.
Rule 3:
Respect and uplift other participants.
Simple stuff. We’re all here to create and feel a little better doing it. So give encouragement and cheer each other on.
