Writing prompts are starting points…

Whether you write every day or haven’t picked up a pen in years, getting started is often the hardest part.

Writing prompts make that easier. They give you something to respond to - a question, an idea, a moment - so you can skip the torment of “what should I write about?” and just get into the flow.

This generator offers two ways to do it:

  • Creative Writing prompts for when you want to write for yourself. They can help you explore memories, test ideas, or enjoy putting words together without needing a reason.

  • Business Storytelling prompts for when you want to write for others. They help you find stories in your work, share experiences, and show the human side of what you do - the parts people genuinely connect with.

Both are designed to get you writing, even if you’re not sure you can.

Here’s how the generator works:

  1. Pick a mode. Creative Writing or Business Storytelling.

  2. Click ‘Generate prompt’ to reveal your first idea.

  3. If you’re in Creative Writing mode, hit 'Reveal tip’ for a little extra direction.

  4. Start writing. A line, a paragraph, a full story. There’s no wrong way to begin.

  5. When you’re ready, click Generate again to try something new.

You don’t need to call yourself a writer to use it. You just need five minutes and the curiosity to see where your ideas take you.

Where writing prompts will take you.

Writing prompts don’t just get you writing — they get you thinking differently.

They help you notice what you’ve been skimming past. Sometimes that’s a small detail in your day; other times it’s something bigger that’s been waiting for your attention.

They create space to slow down, to untangle what’s in your head, and to hear yourself more clearly.

Over time, you start to see patterns more naturally, and you understand yourself differently. That changes how you move through everything else - work, relationships, the choices you make.

The writing is only the start.
